Join us Saturday, May 28th from 10am-4pm for the

O+ BlO+ck Party celebrating Kingston Women’s Bike Festival 2022

Kingston Women’s Bike Festival seeks to empower healthy, diverse, and engaged communities to create environments which make bicycling accessible to women and safe for everyone. “Bike riders know that momentum is vital to any ride, but so is understanding the terrain,” says KWBF co-founder Rose Quinn. “We not only want to see the road ahead, we want to play a role in where it takes us. We believe in the power of informed bike riders and community members alike.” All KWBF events are free to the public.

During this day-long celebration of safe, empowered cycling in the Hudson Valley, we will also have Expect A Bike yard signs available by local artist Ryan Cronin and O+ will unveil our new mobile mural by BoogieREZ. Sarah Dukler, of Kingston Adventures, will kick off the day leading an 18 mile gravel ride on the Wallkill Valley Rail Trail, returning to Kingston by way of the O&W Rail Trail. Check out the full schedule of events below!

Through the generous support of O+’s partner, WMC Health, O+ is proud to co-host the BlO+ck Party at Keegan Ales alongside Bike Friendly Kingston and in partnership with Scenic Hudson, Athletic Brewing Company, The Cronin Gallery and Live Well Kingston. Food and beverages will be available for purchase from Keegan Ales and Athletic Brewing Company will be on site with their incredible non-alcoholic beer.

Free Bike Valet Parking at the Chronogram Block Party

  • Wall Street Kingston, NY, 12401 United States (map)
  • Google Calendar ICS

Ride your bike to the Chronogram Block party Aug, 20th!
FREE bike valet parking will be available from 4pm — 10pm.

How Does It Work?

Just like a coat check, you sign a claim check and give us your bike. We give you the ticket stub. After the event, you return the stub and we give you your bike back.

How Much Does It Cost?

Nothing! The Kingston Land Trust is providing bike parking for this event for free. In return, we ask you to take a moment to learn more about our work, and if it piques your interest, consider volunteering with us in the future, or making a tax-deductible contribution. Ask your valet for more information.

Is It Safe?

Yes! Our volunteer valets will be present throughout the event to keep an eye on the bike storage racks. We’ll take good care of your bike while it’s in our hands. Just don’t lose your ticket! It’s needed to reclaim your bike later.

Can I Leave My Stuff With My Bike?

Yes (helmets, locks and panniers only please). Because we can’t inventory your accessories, we can’t be responsible for them, but anything securely attached to your bike will be safe.

What If I Can’t Get Back In Time To Pick Up My Bike?

You must retrieve your bike by closing time, which is typically 30 minutes after the end of an event. After that time, valet will close. We cannot be responsible for bikes left at our facilities after the close of valet and we urge you to be prompt in picking up your bike. If you are unable to pick up your bike after an event, you must contact our office at 845-877-LAND.

Can I Park My Skates, Jogging Stroller, Etc.?

Yes. We’ll park skates, strollers and other human-powered people movers, though bicycles take priority.

Our first bike repair at the Repair Cafe was a huge success! 25 bikes were fixed up totally for free and more had to be turned away. This time we hope to have more mechanics available and will be able to have a Fix-a-Flat workshop so people can learn to do some basic maintenance of their own.

Signing up is suggested, by not required, with Rose Quinn at quinnr@sunyulster.edu or (845) 453-8012. You'll have to sign a waiver, and if you are under 16 you will have to have a guardian sign on your behalf.

We could use a few more people to help out with general organization and hosting the day of. No mechanical ability required just a friendly attitude. Email Rose at quinnr@sunyulster.edu. Hope to see you there!
