BFK September Slow Ride

  • YMCA 507 Broadway Kingston (map)

Bike Friendly Kingston is happy to announce monthly “Slow Rides” this summer. Slow Rides are guided group rides meant for all abilities done at a slow pace. They are a great way to explore Kingston neighborhoods and gain confidence riding a bicycle.

Rides will happen on first Thursday evenings at 6pm on 5/5, 6/2, 7/7, 8/4, 9/1, and 10/6. They start from the YMCA of Kingston and Ulster’s parking lot behind the building at 507 Broadway.

Participants should wear helmets, have front and rear lights, bring water and wear comfortable clothing. A ride waiver will need to be signed. Route lengths will vary from 5-20 miles and are hosted by different bicycle leaders. Check Bike Friendly Kingston Events on Facebook for any cancellations or updates.

Some rides will be in partnership with other local community organizations including the YMCA, Kingston Food Coop, and the O+ Festival.

Any questions can be sent to Emily Flynn, Director of Health & Wellness, City of Kingston, at eflynn@kingston-ny.gov.
